The Postgraduate Program “Surgical Oncology of the Skin, Soft Tissues and Vascular Anomalies” was created in order to give a propulsion to the advancement of the scientific knowledge in a field where nothing similar existed. The Program aims at health professionals who wish to acquire a higher level of scientific training and obtain an up-to-date postgraduate degree. This title, in the context of a competitive reality, is compared on equal terms with domestic and foreign counterparts.
The objectives of the Postgraduate Program comprise:
- Acquisition of new knowledge in well-known scientific fields, such as melanoma and sarcoma.
- Acquisition of new knowledge in newer scientific fields, such as vascular malformations aiming to achieve correct diagnostic approach and modern medical treatment.
- Development of critical thinking at a practical level with demonstration of clinical cases, aiming at broadening scientific thinking and familiarization with treatment options.
- The more in-depth knowledge from a level of basic medical sciences such as biology, histology, anatomy and their evolution to a level of molecular biology, applied histology and applied anatomy, which is the keystone of cutaneous, soft tissues and vascular malformations surgery.
- Development of parallel subjects of scientific interest, relevant to each medical field, such as forensic medicine and psychiatric oncology.
- Training in methodology of preparing a thesis on the subject of the third semester of studies.
- Access to PhD.
