PPS "Premalignant diseases in Gynecology"
The postgraduate program “Premalignant diseases in Gynecology”, is established for the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in the academic year 2022-2023. The program was scheduled for the new scientists and is focalized to: the pathophysiology, the risk factors, the clinical signs and symptoms, the diagnostic and therapeutic approach of premalignant disorders in Gynecology, as well as to the early detection of premalignant diseases of the vulva, vagina, cervix, uterine body and adnexa. The duration of the program is 3 semesters (90 ECTS). After the preparation and the successful completion of the thesis at the 3rd semester, the candidates will receive the diploma of MSc in Premalignant diseases in Gynecology.

The Program of Postgraduate Studies " Premalignant diseases in Gynecology" accepts graduates of the Departments of Faculty of Health Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology-Genetics, Obstetrics, Nursing, Medical Laboratories as well as graduates from related Schools and Departments from Universities and Technological Sectors of higher education native or recognized foreign Institutes.The admission of students is based on rating their documented qualifications and their interview.
Qualification requirements and regulations, profile of the programme, key learning outcomes and occupational profiles
According to Law 1567/20-10-2004, alteration Law 1807/10-9-2007, for the acquisition of the MSc (Master of Science) " Premalignant diseases in Gynecology", postgraduate students have to complete a set of courses extending over 3 semesters, which corresponds to 90 ECTS (Law 67145/B7, Law 1889/2007/ Β7). Τhey have to attend and successfully be examined to ten courses ; ten compulsory (90 ECTS). In the 3rd semester (30 ECTS) they design and complete their Postgraduate Thesis, which they defend publicly and, subsequently, being examined. The program aims to the specialization of a spectrum of scientists in «Premalignant diseases in Gynecology ".

Graduates of the MSc " Premalignant diseases in Gynecology" will be able to work in positions of public and private sectors, which require specialized knowledge in the subject of " Premalignant diseases in Gynecology".

The qualification is a terminal award and allows access to doctoral studies.

Minimum passing grade: 6 (AUTH Rule of Procedure Α.Π.Θ., no 127/2-2-11).
Graduation requirements
3 Semesters, 90 ECTS. Approval of Postgraduate Courses (General Assembly of Special Composition 12/30-04-2015).
The students need to collect 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) from the Compulsory Courses, and 30 ECTS from the Preparation of the MSc Thesis (for a total of 90 ECTS). Each unit ECTS represents, on average, 26-30 hours of theoretical or practical training or guided learning training, in accordance with similar Postgraduate Courses of European Universities.
