45th Annual Conference of the International Conference for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) | Registration is now OPEN
Dear colleagues and friends of ISCB,
We would like to inform you that the abstract submission and registration for the 45th Annual Conference of the International Conference for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB) is now open.
The conference will take place during 21-25 July 2024 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The deadline for abstract submission is February 29th, 2024. Please visit the website of the conference (https://iscb2024.info/) for more information on abstract submission, registration and important dates.
Please also note that there are two award schemes (Student Conference Awards and Conference Awards for Scientists). For those from low-, lower-middle or upper-middle income countries submitting an abstract, there is an opportunity to receive funding from CFDC (Conference Funding for Developing Countries). More information is available here. Independently of these awards/funding schemes, registration fees are lower for attendees from low-, lower-middle or upper-middle income countries as well as for students.
We promise an exciting scientific program.
Sir David Spiegelhalter (University of Cambridge) and Prof. Chris Holmes (University of Oxford) will be the Keynote Speaker and President’s Invited Speaker, respectively.
On Sunday, five pre-conference courses will be offered on a variety of topics (Causal inference in clinical trials, Dynamic Predictions for Longitudinal and Time-to-Event Outcomes with Applications in R, ROC analysis for classification and prediction in practice, Adverse events with survival time outcome, Statistical and practical aspects of the design and analysis of Multi-Arm Multi-Stage Platform Trials). The scientific program will include invited sessions, oral contributed sessions, posters as well as mini-symposia. More information will follow soon.
Regarding the social program, we will start on Sunday evening with the Students’ Gathering that provides a platform for young statisticians to connect, network, and feel more comfortable at the conference (especially if this is their first ISCB conference).
The Welcome Reception - open to all delegates - will take place on Monday evening at the beautiful roof garden of Porto Palace that combines the industrial architecture of the hotel and the urban landscape of the New Harbour, with a magical view of the city of Thessaloniki.
On Tuesday, there are organised social excursions after the lunch break with many options, including visit to Vergina and the tomb of King Philippos (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visit to Mount Olympus and its picturesque villages, swimming in the crystal clear waters of Sithonia in Chalkidiki, wine and tsipouro tasting etc. Please see here for more information.
